Tokenising a natural resource asset requires assembling and maintaining a data package that most asset owners are not equipped to produce: geological verification, title and ownership chains, production data, environmental compliance, commodity market positioning, geopolitical risk.
Today this means engaging half a dozen specialist firms, spending upwards of $500,000, and waiting 6-12 months before a single token is minted. For mid-market assets in the $5-50 million range, the cost of preparation alone makes tokenisation uneconomic.
